MINNIE HARMS
Funeral services for Minnie Harms, 88, were held November 13 at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gary Hatcher officiated at the services.
Minnie Harms of Scotch Grove died November 10 at the Senior Home, Monticello, following an extended illness.
Minnie Bohlken was born March 2, 1902 near Scotch Grove, the daughter of Gerke H. and Anna Tobiason Bohlken. She received her education in the rural schools near Scotch Grove.
Minnie Bohlken and Henry H. Harms, Jr. were married November 29, 1922 at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. The couple farmed near Scotch Grove on the Bohlken family farm. Henry preceded Minnie in death in December 1977. Minnie moved to the Senior Home in February 1981.
She is survived by a son, Milton Harms of Scotch Grove and a daughter, Evelyn Pickerell of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and six sisters.
Casket bearers were Clarence Herren, Raymond Harms, Ronald Harms, Elmer Hanken, George H. Bohlken, and Glenn Soper.
Goettsch Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
