His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Schatz officiating.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery with military rites by the Willman-Fee American Legion Post 14.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the Basham Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Franklin Bult was born May 17, 1924, to Peter Sr. and Annie (Zevenbergen) Bult at Harrison. From 1944 to 1946 he served in the Army horse cavalry.
On Aug. 27, 1945, he married Joy Wenzel at Mitchell. In 1956 they moved to Seattle and in 1963 they moved to Wessington Springs. He was a life member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Sandy (Roger) Andersen of Rapid City; two sons, Frank JR. (Donna) of Tyndall and Jerry (Kristi) of Hartington, Neb.; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Pagel and Jessie Brodkorb, both of Wessington Springs, Adline (Robert) Arnott of Huron and Wilma Westerbeck of Yakima, Wash.; and six brothers, Pete (Ruth) of Wessington Springs, Raymond (Pat) of Sioux Falls, Harold (Lois) of Worthington, Minn., John (Norene) of Wolsey, Donald (Janet) of Atlanta, Ga., and Richard (Faye) of Millington, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
