He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church here; a 1968 graduate of Fort Hill School; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245 and the Goodfellowship Club, of which he was a past president, formal employee and member of the shuffleboard club.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert A. Carney, Frederick; Thomas E. Carney Jr., Bowling Green; a sister, Mrs. Mary Catherine Hare, Short Gap, W.Va.; two nieces and one nephew.
Friends will be recieved at the Scarpelli Funeral Home Friday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9p.m. The Fraternal Order of the Eagles will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
Services will be conducted Saturday at 11a.m. in the funeral home by the Rev. Msgr. David Dorsh.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Corley, Richard Clay, Jerry Farrell, Jerry Fuller, Steven Grogg and David Starkey.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Lewis, Lester Delawder and Forrest Corley.
