CALDWELL — Earl Albertson, 76, retired farmer and former Caldwell resident, died Friday afternoon at his home in Emmett, route 1. He was the father of Joe Albertson, Boise, head of the Albertson food store chain,
Mr. Albertson was born March 31, 1881, in Canton, Ind., and resided in Indiana until he was 20, moving then to Oklahoma. He moved to Caldwell in 1909 and resided here until 1949 when he moved to Emmett. He had resided there since. Mr. Albertson was a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 39 AF&AM, Caldwell.
Survivors include his wife, Rhoda of Emmett, and two sons, Joe and Fred Albertson, Boise; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The Peckham-Dakan-Davis chapel will announce services.
