Virginia Gallo, 81, of 513 Hickory St., died Friday at the Iroquois Nursing Home. A native of Italy, she lived in Syracuse the last seven years. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church. Her husband, Anthony, died in 1957. Surviving are four sons, Michael, Alfonso and John, all of Syracuse, and Gennaro of Albany; six daughters, Elvira Ferraro, Frances Clemente and Josephine Cioffi, all of Syracuse, Maria DiNatale of Minoa, Anna of Italy and Madeline Bizzaro of Albany; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Michael and Marino Romano, both of Venezuela and Paulo Romano of Italy; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Garden Mausoleum. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
