Lanford Johnson, 56, of Kansas City, Missouri, died at home on September 9, 2013. He was the fourth child of Betty Jean and Benjamin Lawrence Johnson, Sr. He was born on November 6, 1956 at The University of Kansas Medical Center (KU) in Kansas City, Kansas, yet lived the majority of his life in Kansas City, Missouri other than a few months living in California. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, William A. Davis, Sr. He attended Phyllis Wheatley and Francis William Elementary Schools, Southeast Junior High School and Southeast and Central High Schools. He worked for the railroad as a certified welder and later worked various jobs at Truman Medical Centers in the Behavioral Health Department. He was survived by his five siblings, two nephews,four nieces, two great-nieces, and two great-nephews. Arrangements: Duane Harvey Funeral Directors.
