Ringwood-Funeral service for Lewis "Bus" Adkisson, 86, will be Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Ringwood with Pastor Steve Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery south of Helena.

Bus was born on April 14, 1927 in rural Ringwood to Andrew Adkisson and Lucy M. Frickle Adkisson and passed from this life on October 23, 2013 at his home. After high school graduation, he served in the U.S. Army. He married Norma Ruth Cronin on November 27, 1949. He was a lifetime member of the Ringwood area. Bus kept very busy as he farmed and was a Helena Boys Home night supervisor for twenty-five years. He served on the Helena Coop Board for eight years. Bus loved his family especially, his grandkids. He loved taking them four wheeling and teaching them about his love of the land and farming. He was a member of the Ringwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Ruth of Ringwood; two daughters, Connie Lou Adkisson Buffalohead and husband, Kenneth Pat of Helena, Freda Jo Adkisson of Enid; three grandchildren, Jennifer Sue Fishback and husband, Rob, Shadlow Wayne Buffalohead and Kendal Lewis Buffalohead; six great grandchildren, Miranda Ruth Fishback, Kolton Ray Fishback, Skylar Kaye Fishback, Shadlow W. Buffalohead II, Jeramiah Allen Buffalohead and Micah Trey Buffalohead' two great-great grandchildren, Rayne Nycole Taylor and Jocelyn RaeLee Taylor; two sisters, Reba Thompson of California and Dottie Clough and husband, Harry of Yukon; numerous nieces; nephews and other relatives.

Those who preceded Bus in death include his parents; daughter, Sharon Ruth and brother Roy Adkisson.

Memorials may be given to the church through the funeral home.
