Fred E. Weaver

Fred E. Weaver, 66. 400 N.E. Winfield, died Friday, Dec. 6, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Weaver was a self employed carpenter when he retired in 1976 for health reasons. He served in the Coast Guard from 1943 to 1945 at Ketchikan, Alaska.

He was born April 17, 1919, at Reno, the son of George E. and Mary Jane Teter Weaver. He lived in Topeka most of his life.

He was married to Goldie M. Kern July 12, 1940, at Lyndon. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Patty Adams, Dayton, Ohio; a son, Michael Weaver, Westwood; a sister, Mrs. Zella Seel, Topeka; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Military graveside services will be conducted by Philip Billard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1650 in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Weaver will lie in state from 10 a.m. today until service time at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Monday.
