Funeral services for Mr. Herman Ray Plunkett, 56, of Columbia were held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Donnie McNaughton officiating. Interment followed at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson, La.
Mr. Plunkett died March 17, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, La. following a brief illness. He was born Dec. 12, 1941 in Lucky, La. to the union of his parents Charlie and Millie Mazie Plunkett. He was a retired superintendent with Champion International.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lynette W. Plunkett, Columbia; daughter, Krystal Plunkett, Columbia; two sons, Nathan Plunkett and Shannon Ray Plunkett, both of Columbia; three brothers, Charlie Plunkett, West Monroe, La., Huey Plunkett, Orlando, Fla. and Dayton Plunkett, Benton, La. and one sister, Patsy Long, Shreveport, La.
