Roy Cecil Anderson passed away on October 19, 2013. Born in the foothills of Coffee County in 1925, he moved to Murfreesboro in 1941 where he raised a family and managed Jones Locker. He started and pastored several churches over the next 57 years. He was ordained by Westview Baptist Church to preach in 1948. He faithfully served the Lord and we are sure he heard the words, "Well done thy good and faithful servant," as he entered in to the presence of his Lord and savior. He was the first of his Mom's 9 children to be saved and during the following 18 months, his 8 siblings came to know the Lord. Over the years, family became more important to him. As his memory faded his love for his family never dimmed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mae Anderson, wives, Darlene Grace Anderson in 1977, and Aleta Jane Anderson in 2000, daughter, Karen Anderson Higginbotham, 8 brothers, and 4 sisters.
He is survived by sons, Timothy (Tammie) Anderson, Larry Anderson; daughters, Pam (David) Lillibridge, Sharon Booth, and Lydia (David) Guthrie, 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, October 21, 2013 from 12:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home. A chapel service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers with Lynn Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
