Albert R. Bachman, 74, of Sinking Spring R.8, Berks County, died Thursday in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Flora (Hoffert) Bachman.

He was chief of the land management division of the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 35 years, retiring in 1971. He also was the former owner of Cushion Peak Kennel, Fritztown, Berks County.

Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Jacob and Mary (Ruch) Bachman.

He was a member of Vinemont Community Lutheran Church, Rheinholds, Berks County.

He was a former secretary of the South Heidelberg Township Planning Commission.

Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Ellen, wife of William C. Buchta of Fritztown, and Judy, wife of William P. Malvizzi of West Lawn, Berks County; a son, Theodore A. of Sinking Spring; a sister Virginia, wife of William Fallstick of Allentown, and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Lamm and Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday.
