Born in Ireland, Mr. Buckley was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Buckley. He came to this country when a boy and his family settled in Thorndike, coming to North Adams shortly afterward. Mr. Buckley became associated with the Metropolitan company when a young man and after serving for several years in this city and Adams moved to Los Angeles. Cal., where he continued his association with the company and where he met with considerable success. He retired 10 years ago and returned to North Adams. He was a loyal follower of local athletic teams, especially in baseball, and was esteemed as a sincere and thoughtful friend. He was a devout member of St. Francis church, the Holy Name Society and the A. 0. H., having been in charge of the rooms of Division 4 for several years past.
Mr. Buckley leaves two sisters. Mrs. Nellie Seasons and Mrs. Anna McGlynn of North Adam; a brother, Dennis Buckley of Waterbury. Ct., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock in St. Francis church. The body will be placed in the vault to await burial in St. Joseph's cemetery.
