"William Henry Davis was born at Alden, Minnesota, October 14, 1868, and died at his home in Denver, Colorado, July 9, 1922, aged nearly 53 years and 9 months.
When he was about nine years of age he came to this place [North Loup, Nebraska] with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Davis [Henry Saunders Davis]. His home was here [in North Loup] until 1890 when he moved to Boulder, Colorado. About seven years ago he moved to Denver and became head mechanic for the Western Chemical Co. During his residence in Boulder, he was engaged in mining and smelting [in Jamestown, CO] and that he might perfect himself in his chosen work he took a course in the state university at Boulder.
While living in Boulder, July 12, 1894, he was united in marriage with Miss Grace Melette. No children were born to them, but they adopted a babe who has now grown to womanhood.
When Will was a young boy he was converted and became a member of the Seventh-day Baptist church of this place [North Loup, NE]. Later he transferred his membership to the Episcopal church of Boulder, and of this denomination he was a member at the time of his death. Will was an accomplished musican (musician), and while yet a young man was chorister of the Seventh day church in our village (North Loup, NE).
Something like a year and a half ago his health began to fail and for some time he had not been able to work. A few days before his death he failed quite rapidly and in the presence of his loved ones he fell into the sleep which has no awakening.
Funeral services were held Monday and the body was buried in the family lot in a Denver cemetery.
Of his immediate family there are left his wife and adopted daughter [Ziska], his father [Henry S. Davis] and mother [Abigail Francis Davis], three sisters, Mesdames O. G. Burdick [Martha-Mrs. Orville Grant Burdick]of Denver, D. A. Davis [Minnie-Mrs. David A. Davis] and O.E. Davis [Maude-Mrs. Orsen E. Davis] of this place [North Loup, NE] and a brother, Frank [Davis] of Denver."

From the North Loup Loyalist newspaper abt July 12, 1922.

From a Denver newspaper: "DAVIS-William H. Davis, July 8, 1922 at the residence, 117 West Third ave. Beloved husband of Grace M. Davis, father of Ziska Marie Davis. Services from the Olinger chapel Monday morning, July 10, at 10 o'clock. Interment at Fairmount ."

William H Davis is unmarked. His space is right next to Skeen, if you get a chance to visit. He is buried next to another Davis, but the office didn't tell me the first name of that person. It could very well be his wife.
