She was born Feb. 17, 1928, in Wolfsburg, a daughter of the late Quincy and Mary (Crawford) Shaffer.
On Aug. 31, 1946, she married Jack S. Bowser, who survives, along with these children: Janis Brandt, New Britain; Linda Bowser, North Wales; James R. Bowser, Evans City; Lisa Traynor, Denver; and Chad Bowser, Houston, Texas; and six grandchildren.
She is survived by two brothers and one sister: Ralph Shaffer, Johnstown; Chester Shaffer, Selinsgrove; and Dorothy (James) Anderson, Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Roy, Bill and Blair Shaffer.
Mrs. Bowser was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford; Bedford Springs Chapter No. 41 Order of Eastern Star; and the Ladies Golf Association at the Bedford Elks Club.
Burial in Bedford Cemetery.
