Paul W. Petrone, age 76, of Connellsville, Pa., died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at his home.

He was born April 20, 1929, in Connellsville, Pa., son of Carl Petrone and Margaret Siesky Petrone.

Mr. Petrone was retired as a Fleet Supervisor and Traffic Manager from the now former Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation in South Connellsville, Pa.

He was also the co-owner and operator, along with his wife, of Petrone's Restaurant and Lounge, Connellsville.

He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard where he served for 17 years and also served active duty in the United States Army.

He was a member of the B.P.O Elks No. 503, the V. F. W., the American Legion and The Slovak Club all in Connellsville.

He was also a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, and a former member and past president of the Connellsville Kiwanis Club.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph Petrone and Richard "Peanuts" Petrone, an infant sister, and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Julia Omatick Petrone; two sons: David W. Petrone and his wife, Deborah, and James M. Petrone and his wife, Jacqueline, all of Connellsville; four grandchildren: James Petrone Jr., Jeremy Petrone, Derek Petrone and Bethany Petrone; a great grandson, Keith Allen Petrone; one sister, Mary Peck and her husband, Ed, of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 EAST GREEN STREET, CONNELLSVILLE, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Thursday, May 12, at 9:30 a.m.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with the Rev. Father John Butler as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Military Rites will be conducted at graveside by the American Legion and the V.F.W. Honor Guard. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. B.P.O. Elks No. 503 will conduct a Memorial Service in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
