Douglas Levon McMillon was born on January 28, 1923, to the late Fred and Alberta Young McMillon.
He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev. Lacy.
He served the church as Sunday School Superintendent for several years as well as being a deacon for eleven years.
D. L. served his community as a Deputy Sheriff for the Leake County Sheriff's Department for 21 years and as a dedicated school bus driver.
He united in Holy Matrimony to Darrell Gregory on May 26, 1951. To this union, two children were born.
Those deprived of his warmth and strength include his wife, Darrell Leonia McMillon; 2 daughters, Deloris Ricks (Harvey), and Lora (Printes). He also leaves 3 grandchildren, LaShanda Levy, Felicia Griffin (Aaron), and C. J. Levy. He leaves 3 great-grandchildren, Erik Levy, Kaila Griffin, and Alexis Griffin. Two sisters, Lillie Alston and Pearline Jones (R. J.), two aunts, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
His parents and three brothers preceded him in death.
