Kentucky New Era obit posted 8/4/1967 reads as follows:

Edgar Milton Redd, 44, farmer of the Wallonia Community in Trigg County, died at 2:25pm Thursday at Veteran's Hospital, Nashville. He had been ill since 1962.

Services will be at 10am Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, Cadiz. Officiating will be the Rev. Clarence Lindsay. Burial will be in Wall Cemetery in Trigg County with Masonic rites at the graveside.

Mr. Redd, a farmer, was a veteran of World War II. He was born in Caldwell County Jan. 5, 1923, the son of the late Edgar Thomas and Lillian Mae Jones Redd. He was a member of Wallonia Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Louise Lawson Redd, whom he married Jan. 10, 1942; six sons, Tommy Redd, Hopkinsville, Melvin Redd, stationed in Army at Ft. Campbell, Ross Clark, Frederick A., Robin and Tandy Redd, all of the home; two daughters, Anne Louise and Rachel Redd, both of the home; a brother, Victor David Redd, Eddyville; four sisters, Mrs. Dale Curtis, and Mrs. Eddy Burlock, both of Hammond, Ind.; Mrs. James Skinner, of Michigan, and Mrs. R.C. Wadlington, Tucson, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
