LA MARQUE — Constance Fannett, 74, died Friday at Mainland Center Hospital, Texas City. Graveside service will be at p.m. Monday at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock, the Rev. Walter Hallam officiating. Burial will be under direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home, Texas City.
Mrs. Fannett was born Aug. 29, 1912, in La Marque. She was retired from Bogatto's Grocery and was a member of Abundant Life Christian Church.
Survivors include her brother, B.F. Ayars Sr. of Angleton; two sisters, Frankie Gentle of Troutdale, Ore., and Camille Florence of Dickinson; three nephews, B.F. Ayars Jr. and Monty Florence of San Antonio and Wm. J. Ayars of Awali, Bahrain; nine nieces, Judith Pierce of Markham, Candice Crowther and Connie Speakes of La Marque, Margie Steele of Garland, Linda Franke of South Houston, Martha Gentle of Hawaii, Jane Ann Tarsia of Germany, Elaine Gentle of Troutdale and Sandy Gates of Arcadia; 14 grandnephews; 14 grandnieces; two great-grandnephews; and one great-grandniece.
