Marion married Mary Brissey. They are the parents of Mary Ann Davis Danieley.
He was founder, President and Treasurer of Marion Davis Inc. until its sale in 1968. Mr. Davis was also owner and operator of Easley Coin Center. He was a former president of North Carolina and South Carolina Numismatic Association and American Numismatic Association. Mr. Davis was a charter member and former treasurer of Easley Baptist Hospital Foundation Board. He was a member of the Tri-County Technical College Foundation Board. He also served on the Electrical Board of the City of Easley.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Easley, where he was a member and former president of the Coley Cleveland Sunday School Class and a former Sunday school teacher. He served on the building committee for the Family Life Center and also was a former member of the Property and Grounds Committee. He was a member of the Bates Masonic Lodge of Easley and a 50-year member of the Scottish Rite and a lifetime member of Hejaz Temple.
