Mr. William Stafford Booth, Jr., 55, died suddenly Tuesday (October 15, 2013) at his residence in Racepond.

He was a native and lifelong resident of the Waycross area. He was formerly employed by Hercules, Sue Bee Honey and Bond Stumping. He attended Sand Hill Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Stafford Booth, Sr. and Nettie Doris Day Booth; one sister, Gwen Stephens; and one brother, Willie David Dixon.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Carter Booth of Racepond; three children, Kathy Michelle DePorter of Jacksonville, FL, William "Will" Stafford Booth III (wife Rose) of Blackshear, and Deanna Michelle Booth of Waycross; two grandchildren, Fawnna and Katie DePorter; two sisters, Evelyn Justice Olson (husband Don) of Charleston, SC, and Betty Jean Seignious of Spartanburg, SC; former wife, Sharon Booth of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday (October 19, 2013) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Racepond Cemetery in Racepond.
