Julia A. Fortney, aged 70, passed away at her home at Eleventh and Chestnut streets last night after a 48 year residence in Ellensburg. Her husband, Levi J. Fortney, died about five years ago.
She is survived by five children: Mrs. H. S. Floyd, Wapato; Mrs. Phoebe Horn, Myrtle Point, Oregon; Mrs. L. B. Horn, Selah; Mrs. Lillie Shelton, Yakima; J. S. Fortney, Kent.
Brothers and sisters surviving her are James Hayes, Ellensburg; Samuel Hayes, Selah; Sanford Hayes, Milo Hayes, William Hayes and W. T. Sheldon of Buhl Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at the Honeycutt Chapel at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
