Funeral services for Lorraine Caskey Hennigan, 88, of Saline were held March 1 at the Magnolia Baptist Church in Saline with the Revs. Malcolm Self and Waylon Gauntt officiating. Burial followed in the Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Hennigan died Feb. 26 in Quitman, Texas of natural causes.

Born Aug. 22, 1913 in Bienville Parish, she was a retired cafeteria manager.

Mrs. Hennigan lived in Saline most of her life, living in Emory and Mineola, Texas for the last four years. She was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church in Saline and retired from Saline High School. She was preceded in death by her husband Shellie M. Hennigan; son Shellie M. Hennigan, Jr.; grandson, Daniel Hennigan; parents Doss and Minnie Caskey; and sisters, Mary Lee Taylor, Madeline Wise and Dossie Louise Cheatwood.

She is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Barfield of Mineola; grandson Shellie Hennigan, III and wife Bonnie of Jonesboro; granddaughters Lorie Barfield of Euless, Texas and Susan Cheatwood and husband Jimmy of Saline; great-grandson, Matt Cheatwood and wife Marsha of Saline; great-great-granddaughters Madison and Maci Cheatwood of Saline; daughter-in-law Doris Hennigan of Jonesville; brother and sister-in-law Robert H. and Jeannette Caskey of Frierson; sister and brother-in-law Lena and Slayton Hennigan of Shreveport; sister, Billie June Collinsworth of Goldonna; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Annie Lee and Marvin Northern.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Cheatwood, Noah Cheatwood, Travis Harper, Marshall Hough, Vernon Hough and Jerry Morgan.

Memorials can be made to the Magnolia Baptist Church in Saline or to the In His Glory Fund at the First Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas.

Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
