Milton was born between 1842-1843. He served in the Civil War Private Co. A 2nd Regiment GA Infantry Volunteers, under the command of Daniel G. Chandler. He enlisted on April 20, 1861 in Homer, Georgia at the age of 18 and discharged on October 28, 1861 in Richmond, Virginia because of Typhoid fever. He was in hospital between July & August 1861 and September & October 1861 in Richmond. He only served 6 months and 8 days.
It is unknown where he is buried but it could be in Simmons-Meeler Cemetery located in unmarked grave. The cemetery is located on the Lake Russell Wildlife Management Area in Stephens County.
