Mrs. Rosetta Cromwell, 82, of Hamburg died Wednesday, February 3, 1999. She was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church and served on the Deaconess Board and Missionary Society and was vice president of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Cromwell was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe J. Cromwell; three sons, Monroe J. Cromwell, Jr., Cardell Cromwell and Cleotha "Buddy" Cromwell; her parents, Sam and Lennie Cason; a brother, Booker T. Cason; and her stepmother, Hallie Cason. Survivors are three sons, Willie F. Cromwell of Crossett, Lawrence Cromwell of Hamburg and Earnest Cromwell of Rockford, IL; two daughters, Merlene Tucker of Crossett and Ruby Kelly of St. Louis, MO; 29 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, in the Mount Zion Baptist Church with Revs. B. J. Jackson and W. R. Taylor officiating. Pallbearers were Earl Jacobs, Levell Stanley, Ray Stanley, Bobby Ray Brown, Larry Rogers and Charles Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Lambert, Robert Cox, Curtis Tolliver, James Prewitt, Charles Brown, Curtis Boston, Jr., Dewon Hollis, Willie Booker and Wayne Pugh. Burial followed services at the Nimmons Cemetery with arrangements by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, directed by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
