Alma Kanter, 95, funeral will be held Tuesday with burial in St. Paul's cemetery at Norfolk. She died Sunday in Norfolk. She was born Nov. 30, 1896 at Cotesfield, Nebraska, to Theodore and Katherine (Sohl) Doncheski. She was on Feb. 28, 1923 to Charles A. Kanter. She was survived by 3 sons: Leonard Kanter at Norfolk, Charles Kanter at Battle Creek, Elmer Blank at Central City, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters: Pauline Butt and Susie Butt both at Central City, Rose Blanchard at St. Paul, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on April 19, 1953, 4 brothers, 2 sisters. Source: extracted from "Norfolk Daily News", Monday, Dec. 16, 1991 on page 3.

Note the spelling of her father's surname should be Donscheski as found on his marker. The first name of her mother was found as Katherine but should be Catherine as found on her marker. There was nothing mention about Alma's first marriage but her son Elmer Blank 18317662 shows it as to J. S. Blank.
