Grace Willis
Grace Ward Willis, a former Republic resident, was born December 2, 1889, at Gordon, Nebr., and died June 9, 1981, at Albuquerque, N.M. She was 91.
She lived in the Republic community from 1892 to 1920, and was married there to Charles H. Willis in 1911.
A resident of Kansas for over 60 years, she had lived in New Mexico since 1954.
She is survived by a son, Arthur C. Willis of Pomona, Calif.; two sisters, Bertha Van Nortwick of Camarillo, Calif., and Vera Russell of Otter Lake, Mich.; a niece, Mrs. Wyman (Virginia) Hobson of Salina, Kans.
No funeral or memorial service was held. She requested her body donated to the Medical School, University of New Mexico.
