Isaac Chrisman, Jr. and his wife Judah or Judith Wallen/Walling came to Missouri from Virginia via Tennessee, along with their son Gilbert and his wife Frances Warren.

Both couples are believed to be buried at the Old Henry Volmert Farm, later owned by Sylvester Buschmann, in Maries County, MO, near Vienna.

The site is unmarked but indicated on property descriptions as a cemetery; the Maries County Historical Society took some descendants of Isaac and Gilbert to the site where they have located the graves of 4 adults (2 males, 2 females).

Not sure about the name "Campbell", whether it is his middle name or a nickname; I have seen it numerous places, so decided to include it here.

The following information was researched and provided by Charles Ward, a descendent of Isaac Chrisman through his daughter Jane:

Isaac Chrisman was born 25 Nov 1767 in Virginia, a son of Isaac Chrisman and his wife, Jane (Scott) Chrisman. His date of birth is given in his family record, found in the Chrisman family Bible (see below). Although frequently referred to as Isaac "Campbell" Chrisman, this was definitely not his name. Everett Marshall King mistakenly referred to Isaac Chrisman as Campbell Chrisman and this mistake has subsequently been perpetuated by some researchers, unaware of the fact that King was mistaken. No record exists from Isaac Chrisman's lifetime where he was referred to by any name other than Isaac Chrisman. It is only with the publication of Everett Marshall King's work in 1963 that Isaac Chrisman began to be mistakenly referred to as Isaac "Campbell" Chrisman.

Isaac Chrisman's date of death is derived from the division of his estate, made in Gasconade County, Missouri. The area where he resided and the cemetery in which he was buried fell within Maries County, Missouri upon its creation in 1855.
