PEORIA -- Mary B. Faubel, 94, of 1402 E. Wilson Ave. died at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home. Born March 15, 1904, in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., to Herbert and Rosetta Elizabeth York Gulley, she married Irvin L. Qualls on October 1920. She married Clarence A. Faubel on Aug. 16, 1943, in St. Louis. He died Oct. 9, 1985, in Peoria. Three sons, Clyde Qualls, Ronald Qualls and Charles Qualls, one great-granddaughter and one stepgreat-grandchild also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Nina) Ross of Peoria and Mrs. Ted (Doris) Schneider of Germantown Hills; one stepson, Ray Faubel of Peoria; 15 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and four stepgreat-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria for more than 40 years. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at her church. The Rev. Ritch Boerckle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church building fund or to Bel-Wood Nursing Home activity fund.
