Fred Burton, Momence, has received news of the death of Jake Tanhey of Atlanta, Mo.
The following news story was received from the Atlanta, Mo., newspaper:
Funeral services for Jacob Tanhey were held Friday morning at the Stephens and Goodding Funeral Home in Macon. Burial was in Mt. Tabor cemetery.
Mr. Tanhey, 74, lived on a farm east of Atlanta. he was taken to the Grim-Smith hospital in Kirksville, where he died, June 28.
He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by one brother, Roscoe, of Atlanta and two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Thatcher and Libby of Rock Island, Ill.
Mr. Tanhey was married to Lois Hess, a sister of Fred Burton. The Tanheys resided east of Momence and have many friends and relatives here.
