Breta, 92, died at Britthaven. She was born the daughter of the late Ida Scott Lewis and David James Lewis and was a graduate of East Carolina University. She taught elementary school for over 33 years before retiring in 1974 and was a member of the Wake Forest Woman's Club; the Wake Forest Garden Club; Wake Forest Book Club and the Wake Forest Bridge Club.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Wake Forest Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sophia Lanneau Circle and was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday school for many years and was also a volunteer at the clothes closet.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her grandsons, Jeff Jackson and wife, Donna Rae of Charlotte and Craig Jackson and wife, Laura of Durham; great-grandson, Kyle Jackson; daughters-in-law, Deanie Jourgenson of Durham and Susan Cook of New Bern, NC.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Bobby and Jimmy Jackson.
