"Mrs. Effie B. Prather, 67, Route 1, Nancy, died Thursday at Somerset City Hospital.

Daughter of the late Loyd and Velva (Burton) Baker, she was born in Pulaski County, Oct. 12, 1901, and was married Jan. 30, 1917, to Carl Prather, who preceded her in death.

A lifelong resident of this county, Mrs. Prather was a housewife and was a member of the Delmer Nazarene Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Edith Burton of Route 1, Nancy, two brothers, Harry Baker, Cincinnati, and Lonnie Baker, Long Beach, California, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Delmer Nazarene Church with the Rev. Belle Bartee and Rev. Sam Muse officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Farris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."

"A large crowd attended the funeral of Mrs. Effie Prather Sunday afternoon at the Delmer Nazarene Church. Rev. S.G. Muse and Rev. Mrs. Belle Bartee officiated. Singing and music by the Brock family. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Floyd of Dayton, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baker of Cincinnati were here for the funeral. Her brother who lives in California was unable to come."
