Arthur A. Yancey, 71, of 104 E. Maple St., Caryville, died Saturday at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville.
He was a retired miner and a war veteran, a member of Paint Rock Baptist Church, the former mayor of Caryville and the owner and operator of Caryville Dry Cleaners.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Cross Funeral Home. Burial was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Truie King Yancey of Caryville; three daughters, Rochelle Phillips of Capitol Hill, and Campbell County Clerk Brenda Boshears and Shirley Raines, both of Caryville; one brother, A. Y. Yancey of Route 1, Oneida; and five sisters, Mable Thompson of Huntsville, Zetta Sexton of Powell, Eva Johnson of Minneapolis, Minn., and Hannah Sexton and Eliza Duncan, both of Oneida.
