Mrs. Roy (Fern) Rank, 84, of 1602 Madison St., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon, September 3, 1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 12 noon at St. Boniface Catholic church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Justin Pierce will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Rank, nee Fern Marks, was born April 4, 1903 at Marinette, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Clarence and Mary L. Gilmet Marks. She was a lifelong Manitowoc resident. She was married to Roy J. Rank, June 26, 1923 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mrs. Rank was a member of St. Boniface Parish, Germania Society and The Catholic Women’s Club.
Survivors include her husband, Roy; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert C. Rank of Grafton, Wisconsin, Wayne and Charlotte Rank of Conyers, Georgia and Don and Laura Rank of Silvis, Illinois; a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jim Shebesta of Verona, Wisconsin; a sister and brother-in-law, June and Chester Michalek of Manitowoc; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Jr. in 1935 and two brothers.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 10 am Saturday morning until the time of services. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
