Roy J. Rank, age 89, of 1602 Madison St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, August 7, 1992, at the Northridge Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 1992, at 9:30 a.m., at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, and 10 a.m., at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Prusakowski O.F.M., with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born January 25, 1903, in Manitowoc, son of the late Louis and Lena Schwartzenbart Rank. He married the former Fern G. Marks on June 26, 1923, at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on September 3, 1987. Mr. Rank was employed with the Mirro Corp. as a plant foreman in the sample and return goods department for 51 years, retiring in 1968. He was also a member of the Mirro Management Club.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne and Charlotte Rank of Conyers, Ga., Don Rank of Moline, Ill.; a daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jim Shebesta of Verona, Wis.; a brother, Charles rank of Leesbug, Fla.; a sister, Grace Johnson of DePere; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, June and Chet Michaelk of Manitowoc, Rebecca Rank of Milwaukee; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; niece, nephews; other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two sons, Roy and Robert; and one brother George.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Sunday, August 18, 1992 from 5-8 p.m. where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. by Father Jerry.
