Andrew Kasper, 88, died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Caroline Brown, 205 B avenue NE, following a long illness. Born at Iowa City June 3, 1854, he came to Cedar Rapids from Muscatine in 1926. In addition to Mrs. Brown, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Nellie E. Christensen of Chicago; two sons, Frederick of Hammond, Ind., and George E. Kasper of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Henry of Iowa City and Frank Kasper of North Liberty; nine grandchildren and a great great grandchild. The Rev. Frank Ward was to conduct funeral services in the Turner chapel at 5:30 p.m. Monday, after which the body was to be taken to Muscatine for funeral services and burial.
