Inning (age 4), Ida D. (age 2), and Olive M. were also living in the household. Listed as Maggie, the census states that her parents were both born in Pennsylvania and that she had three surviving children out of five.
Ten years later the family had moved to Papillion, Sarpy County, Nebraska where John worked as a farmer and Maggie worked as a laundress from home. Their residence was listed on Grand View Street and they were living with children Inning, Ida and Olive. The family remained in Papillion for the next twenty years, where they were recorded on both the 1920 and 1930 census records. In 1920, John worked as a laborer doing general work. Their son Anning lived with them, as did daughter Ida and her husband, listed as Ernest and Ida Boaz. In 1930 John was still working as a laborer doing odd jobs and Maggie worked as a weaver from home. Daughter Ida Boaz was also listed as living in the household.
