Sarah Davidson Bond, of Richmond, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Baptist Health- Richmond. She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, to Robert and Martha Mae (Stamper) Fields, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Bond was a retired teacher having taught at Silver Creek Elementary School and Berea Community School. She loved to play golf and bridge and enjoyed music and playing the organ and piano. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was also a member of the Bell Choir.

Survivors include her husband, Wilson Bond of Richmond; three step-sons, Stewart Davidson of Richmond, Vernon Davidson of Chicago, Illinois and Wilson Bond III of Somerville, South Carolina; one step-daughter, Leslie Penn of Madison County; one brother, James Fields of Berea; two sisters, Mary Jane Hunt of Danville and Frances Greene of Richmond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Berneda Price and three brothers, Leroy, Kelly, and Bruce Fields.

Funeral service for Mrs. Bond at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Dr. Curtis Christian officiating. Burial will follow at the Richmond Cemetery.
