Mrs. S.S. Barger, 84, died at her home in Brookwood Saturday after an illness lasting 9 days. She was a native of Hale County but resided at Brookwood during the most part of her life.
Surviving are her husband, four sons, H.D., R.S., R.H. and L.D. Barger, and three daughters, Mrs. Dovie McCraw, Mrs. Emma Crowder and Mrs. A. Hyche. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock today (standard time) from the Pleasant Ridge Church with burial in the church cemetery.
