Reuben Barger Rites Today At Antioch
Funeral services for Reuben Sylvester Barger, 65, a farmer of Brookwood Rt. 1, who died Sunday at the U.S. Veterans Hospital, were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the Antioch Baptist Church with burail to follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Barger is survived by his wife, Mrs. Della Barger; four daughters, Miss Geneva Barger of Birmingham, Mrs. Melba Donaldson of Bessemer, Miss Vera Mae Barger and Miss Nola Barger of Birmingham; four sons, Roy Barger of Fort Worth, Tex., Jewel Barger of Holt, Linvelle Barger of Tuscaloosa and Sylvester Barger of the U.S. Navy; his father, S. S. Barger of Cottondale; three brothers, Henry Barger of Tuscaloosa, Houston Barger of Searles and Lewis Barger of Cottondale; three sisters, Mrs. W. McCraw of Brookwood, Mrs. Emma Crowder of Empire and Mrs. Alva Hyche of Brookwood.
