Anna was born to Reinhold and Anna Christina Louise (Gallen) PFENNIGHAUSEN in 1846 in Germany.

In the 1860 U. S. Census, we find her living with her family in Hermann, Gasconade county, Missouri. In the record, her age is shown as 9, which would place the year of her birth ca 1851. Her older brother, Carl, is shown in this record with an age of 10, i.e. born ca 1850.

We know little about Anna. She was married to John NIEMANN on 8 May 1873 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Thanks to the helpful input of BJ, here is her location on both the 1880 and 1900 U. S. Census records, in St. Louis:

* 1880 United States Federal Census, St Louis City, St Louis County, Missouri E.D. 048, p.5, family 2, dwelling 1, line 6, November (NAR A T9)

* 1900 United States Federal Census, St Louis City, St Louis County, Missouri E.D. 071, p.9, family 195, dwelling 17, line 26,

Her gravestone reads "Dear Mother", but we do not know the names of her children. She had one son, as far as is currently known.

She is buried in the same cemetery as her father and not far away.
