"Marianne Muller, 83 ,of Marshall, Mo., formerly of Sleepy Eye, died on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at her home in Marshall, Mo. Private Services will be held at Sturm Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005. The Clergy will be Fr. Brian Oestreich. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family via www.sturmfh.com. Friends may call on the family at the Sturm Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. Marianne Muller was born Sept. 25, 1922 in Sleepy Eye to Clement and Augusta Pelzel. Marianne was married to Roderic Gent in 1943 in Phoenix, Ariz. until his death in 1960. Marianne worked at Anthony's Dept. Store in Sleepy Eye for many years and later worked at the Tropicana Supper Club in New Ulm. Frank and Marianne were married Dec. 4, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nev., and have lived in various cities throughout the western U.S. until 1994 when they moved to Marshall, Mo. Survivors include her husband, Wm. Frank Muller of Marshall, Mo., sons and daughters-in-law, Maurice and Carol Gent of Bowlus, and Ronald and Diane Gent of Sleepy Eye, and step-daughter, Anita and Larry Young of Pullman, Wash., four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sisters, Leona Lowinsk Braun of Sleepy Eye, Lorraine and Mel Tauer of Morgan; brothers, Erwin and Melvin Pelzel, both of Sleepy Eye, Bernard and Marjo Pelzel of Durham, Maine. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Rod Gent, brothers; Roman, Ed, Art and Leo Pelzel; sisters, Lucille Helget and Irene Meyer; infant son of Maurice & Carol Gent, and grandson-in-law, Josh Lauzer."
