Margery "Irene" Perry age 86 of Durand, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Genesys Health Park.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Durand Chapel. Family will greet friends on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon.

Irene was born on August 31, 1927 in Montcalm County , the daughter of Loyal and Ethel(Dale) Eggelston. Irene was a homemaker and farmers wife and worked for a short time at Simplicity Engineering. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, enjoyed quilting, working elections and taught upholstery at Adult Education at Durand High School. On August 20, 1949 she married Ward H. Perry and he predeceased her in 2007.

Irene is survived by 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister; Janet, brother; David, sisters-in-law; Mayra, Dorothy, and Iva.
