Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in New Augusta, for Mr. David Junior Bishop, 52, of New Augusta who died September 25, 2013 at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. Howard Lips, Jr. will officiate at the services with burial to follow in the New Augusta Cemetery at New Augusta.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stephan Tremblay, William Jeffcoats, Gary Sullivan, Earl Eubanks, Robert Eubanks and Ricky Eubanks.

David was a fisherman and considered himself as a true "river rat". He was preceded in death by his wife, Kate Jenkins; a brother, Richard Holifield; sisters, Mary Neil Bishop, Veda Baily and Vanessa Doral.

He is survived by Melissa Faith Harrison of Richton and Linda Kay Jenkins of Semmes, AL; sisters, Linda (Ray) Ford, Annie (Chuck) Proctor, Pearline (John) Shirley, Coralesis (Craig) Marshall and Tammy (Gerald) Lucas and two grandchildren, William James Neese, II and Katelyn Faith Smith.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in New Augusta.
