Young Mother Dies at Hospital
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Helderman, of Freedom, were held at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the West & Son Funeral Home in Spencer. The Rev. Verl Underwood officiated at the services and burial was made in Grandview Cemetery here.
Mrs. Helderman, 27 years old, passed away Wednesday in the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis, after an illness of two years.
She was born at Danville, Indiana in 1929 and was the daughter of Mrs. Dollie Baines of West Main Street and the late Clifford H. Baines.
Several years ago the family lived three miles west of Bloomfield and Doris attended school at Switz City. She was a member of the Bloomfield Christian Church.
Mrs. Helderman is survived by the husband, Gordon Helderman, and three small children, Larry, Linda and Loretta, at home; the mother, Mrs. Dolly Baines and a brother, David, and sister, Janice, at home; two brothers, Richard Baines of Cincinnati, Ohio and Earl Baines of Tipton, Indiana and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Correll of Bloomfield, R 4; Mrs. Bill Doane of Solsberry, Rt 1 and Mrs. Jack Spice of Bloomfield, R 1.
