Luther Nathaniel Bouska, son of Joseph and Anna Bouska. was born August 30, 1894, at Narka and died May 26, 1951, at Belleville, at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 26 days.
Bouska received his bachelor of science degree in Education from the University of Kansas in 1923 and completed his master's degree in Education in 1931.
He was united in marriage to Doris Walton on June 6, 1923, and their children are James, Dolores, Donald and Janet Sue.
Mr. Bouska served his country in World War I. After completing his education, he was engaged in school administration for several years. He moved to this community in 1938 where he established an insurance business. He was absent from the community for some time during World War II while serving as field director with the Red Cross.
Luther was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Presbyterian church from an early age, and until recently when his health failed, he was active in church work, teaching Sunday school classes and serving in the various offices of the church. One of his chief interest was the building of Christian character, and his love for his fellow men made him effective in his efforts. His devotion and comradship will long be cherished and appreciated by his family.
After a long illness, Luther Bouska passed away at the Belleville hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Anna, Sophia and Mary.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Bouska; two sons James and Donald; two daughters, Dolores and Janet Sue; four brothers, Joseph, George, T. W., and Charles; one grandson.
Funeral services were conducted at the First Presbyterian church by the Rev. James Gray. Burial was in Beleville cemetery.
