OBIT: John P. Bartholomew. The funeral of John Peter Bartholomew, son of the late Paul and Catherine Bartholomew, was held at the John E. Cullinan funeral home, 54 East Mohawk street, at 9 o'clock Monday morning and in St. Paul's church at 9:30 where a high mass of requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Charles Edwards. Burial was in St. Paul's cemetery where committal service was conducted by the Rev. Thomas J. Murphy. The bearers were Neil O'Connor, John France, Edwin Ruttan and John Smith. OBIT: John P. Bartholomew. John Peter Bartholomew, 93 East Bridge street, died Friday evening at his home after a long illness. Born in Oswego, a son of the late Paul and Catherine Bartholomew, he was a mason and bricklayer by trade but had been retired for several years. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and served as a drummer in the Eagles drum corps. He was a communicant of St. Paul's Catholic church. His wife died Nov. 24 1924. Surviving are two sons, George F. and John E. Bartholomew; two daughters; Mrs. Lillian Erickson and Miss Margaret Bartholomew, Oswego; two brothers, Charles Bartholomew, Watertown and Harold Bartholomew, Tacoma, Washington; two sisters Mrs. Martha Beckwith, Scriba and Mrs. Lena Schrader, Skaneateles; several nieces and nephews and four grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Monday morning at the John E. Cullinan funeral home, 54 East Mohawk street, at 9 o'clock and in St. Paul's Church at 9:30.
