Mrs. Anton Simmet, 73, of route 3, Manitowoc, died at the Holy Family hospital early this morning. She had been ill about four months.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning from the Pfeffer funeral home at 9:30 and at 10 o’clock from St. Andrews Catholic church, the Rev. Henry Letz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
Born in Chicago Jan. 16, 1869, Mrs. Simmet, nee Agnes Muchowski, celebrated her golden wedding anniversary with her husband on Oct. 27, 1941.
Survivors besides the husband are five children, Mrs. Alvin Schmelzle, Mrs. Charles Skarda, Mrs. John Stephani and Anton Jr., all of Manitowoc and George of route 3; four brothers, Matt, Frank, and Joseph Muchowski of Newton and John Muchowski of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Engelbrecht of Manitowoc and the Misses Mary and Rose Murchowski of Newton; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home after seven o’clock tonight. The St. Theresa society of which Mrs. Simmet was a member, will recite the rosary Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
