HEART ATTACK FATAL TO YOUNG MAN SATURDAY
Edward Simmet, 26, Hopeful of Spending Easter at Home After Operation, Is Summoned

Buoyed up with the hope that he would be able to spend Easter Sunday at his home, after a hard siege of two weeks at the hospital, Edward Simmet, 26, well known young man, who underwent an operation for appendicitis, was stricken with a heart attack Saturday morning at the Holy Family hospital and passed away a few hours later. His demise was a sad shock to his wife and relatives as he was reported on the road to recovery. Funeral services will take place Tuesday morning at nine o’clock from the St. Boniface church, Rev. Father Letz officiating with interment at the Calvary cemetery. Inspector at Local Company.

The deceased has always made Manitowoc his home and was employed as an inspector at the Northern Wisconsin Produce company. Two weeks ago he was removed to the hospital for an appendicitis operation and seemed to be coming along all right, being in high hopes of spending Easter at his home on Summit street, when the sudden heart attack Saturday morning proved fatal.

He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Gustie Kadow before her marriage two years ago, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Simmet Sr., two brothers, George of this city and Anton Jr. of Milwaukee and three sisters, Mrs. Alvin Schmelzie, Mrs. Charles Skardo and Mrs. John Stephany, all of this city.
