Elizabeth Levenia Crump was the wife of Dr Charles Cary Crump, a leading physician of Purdy. Her oldest brother, John Vines Wright became a lawyer and judge and served in both the United States and Confederate Congresses and had an unsuccessful campaign for Governor of Tennessee in 1880. Her younger brother, Marcus Joseph Wright, became a Major
General in the Confederate Army. She died during child birth and was buried with her parents. Later her husband moved to Spring Hill, Tennessee to practice medicine.
Her son, Marcus Vines Crump, born at Purdy, became one of the youngest volunteers of the civil war and the age of fourteen.
