Julia Mourine Seigler, 90, of Henrietta, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Graveside services will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Joy Cemetery, in Joy, Texas with Rev. Doug Gaskey, pastor of the Grace Temple Baptist Church in Henrietta, officiating with Howard Walker, pastor of the First Christian Church in Henrietta, Texas, assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.
Mrs. Seigler was born on May 2, 1923 in Buffalo Springs,Texas to Joe Grant and Clemmie M. (Allen) Simons. She married Wendell Seigler on February 16, 1946 in Bellevue, Texas. She was a member of the Grace Temple Baptist Church in Henrietta and was a homemaker. Mrs. Seigler was a member of the Red Hat Club and loved Jamborees at Bowie, Buffalo Springs and Petrolia. She was so proud and honored to have been born on her mothers birthday.
Mrs. Seigler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wendell; two brothers, Coy Simons and Boyce Joe Simons; four sisters, Fern Jackson, Wayne Harris, Doris Lippencott and Monette Wyatt.
Survivors include one daughter, Neta Neuman and husband Roger of Wasilla, Alaska; two sons, Eddie Seigler of San Francisco, California and Joe Seigler and wife Sue of Henrietta, Texas; four grandchildren, Boyce and Bryce Seigler, Shane Neuman and Tonya Knowles; one brother, Melvin Simons of Weatherford, Texas; one sister, Mary Whitsitt of Weatherford, Texas; eleven great-grandchildren, John, Conner and Jessie Knowles, Maekayla, Mackenzie, Hunter, Haley and Kaitlin Neuman, Brendan Seigler, Payton Seigler and Reagan Seigler.
The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening, September 27, 2013 from 7:00PM-8:00PM.
